The innovation that liquid wear provides with flex app is unparalleled, so a little bit about flex app in general. Before i get to flex app one flex app gives you dynamic application delivery for all your windows desktops. It separates out application delivery from the operating system. Delivery. In windows applications are never tied to an os version or a desktop delivery platform. This keeps you from having to repackage apps at every change to your desktop delivery method. It supports virtually all types of applications to exes to msix and microsoft, app v flex app. Has you covered it gives you the most flexible layer options in the industry for users that have many applications delivered to flex app. You want to deliver those at system boot for those that you want context aware you could deliver those at login if youre delivering many. Many applications and you dont know if the user is actually going to use them during the user session. You can deliver them as a click to layer application and only when the user clicks on that application is it delivered and now, with flex app one flex app packages can go offline and they can be distributed using microsoft, endpoint manager, flex app supports remote work from Anywhere strategies, especially now with flex app one in the offline use case flex app supports multi cloud staging of applications from any of the three major clouds when youre, using the full version of flex app and when youre using flex app one.

It supports file sharing services. Such as dropbox onedrive, amazon, workdocs, google drive and more flex app has won many industry innovations. What matrix has independently reviewed the solution and chose it as the number one pick, even when compared against desktop delivery platform solutions? So now lets get right to the heart of this feature. Video and tell you a little bit more about flex app one, its an innovative new feature in flex, app flex app. One containers ultimately become one single executable with one or many apps inside them and an end user once they have that received by any means they can double click on it and it looks and acts like its installed locally in the windows operating system. Its a self contained version of your app with no external player or heavy agent required only a lightweight service is automatically installed once the user clicks on their first flexzap1 application, just like flex app. It keeps base images, clean windows, machines become unencumbered by the degradation normally experienced from installing and uninstalling apps over time. It gives you easy and limitless application distribution methods supporting all the file sharing services that you see there and more. You can distribute flex app 1 packages through microsoft, endpoint configuration manager. You can also make flex app one applications available in the company portal, which is now in windows, 10 and 11, where flex app 1 applications can be in a self serve mode. You can also distribute these applications on a usb memory.

Stick, really, you can distribute applications by any means necessary with flex app one. It gives you a streamlined application layer, methodology for offline and microsoft, endpoint manager, use, and you still have the power of the profile. Unity management console and the full version of flex app for all your advanced use cases and the most anticipated benefit is now a reality. You can run flex app packages offline with flex app one. You want to make sure that those machines are well managed, pcs and laptops to ensure those machines. Dont already suffer from the degradation of software installations in windows over time. This joint solution, brief that you see to the right, is available on the liquid ware website today were going to discuss the matrix that you see here. So when should you use flex app versus a flex app one application, both of them give you all the benefits of keeping base images clean, giving you the easy ability to update applications without modifying the base image, theyre, fast and easy to package, and both have a Very high compatibility rating of 90 plus percent either one of these can be used if the workspace stays connected for flex app one. That would be a use case if you also wanted to use endpoint manager. If you want to share an application by any means with no prerequisites required, thats also a great use case for flex app one. But if you desire the advanced use cases, the full version of flex app may be your best bet in those instances with the full power of flex app, you also get the ability to use the profile, unity console and the context aware settings to distribute applications.

You can also leverage the features of profile unity, uem, to modify the users privileges for unique applications, also tweak registry settings. So you can get rid of run once dialog boxes or change the behavior of an app. If you need to fully track the inventory of all flex apps distributed, the management console will give you that ability as well or if your needs call for an enterprise admin console with delegated admin, access, admin, auditing and other functionality that might aid in your documentation and Compliance, the full version of flex app may be the way to go, but as per flex app, one im excited to have with me today: matt boyajian whos, going to give us a great demonstration matt thanks jason. My name is matt boyajian senior solutions, architect with legoware and today were going to take a very deep in the weeds. Look at what goes on behind the scenes with flexzap1. So to start off were going to play a game of lets. Pretend so lets pretend i have a brand new machine, new, desktop new laptop new vdi system, and i have the latest and greatest copy of windows 10 on it, and i go and log in what happens. Well, the answer is not a whole lot. Ive got all the default things that are baked into windows 10. As you can see, all ive got the standard iso features here and if i look at my applications, ive got all the standard stuff that comes with windows 10, but im missing.

Quite a bit. Im missing all my productivity applications im missing the things that i need to function, so i want you to start off by thinking about what jason said a little bit earlier, that we dont care how you manage your systems or how you deploy applications to your systems. If you want to use sccm, if you want to use intune, if you want to use something like onedrive or any kind of other file repository service that exists in the cloud, none of those things should matter all that should matter is i get my apps. So what im going to do is im going to navigate to the file share and show you what goes on behind the scenes when flex app one goes and does something like that. So im going to go to my profile, unity share and im going to go. Grab my flex app one captures and im just going to go and copy those and paste. Those to my desktop, which you can see, happens pretty quickly and what im going to do is im just going to double click on them, which of course assumes that i have administrative rights which all of your deployment solutions will have so whats cool is, in the Background you can decide. Is this silent? Does this have administrative flags? Is this going to install on startup or when the user logs in? How is the start menu going to be handled, and in this case, all im going to do? Is click on an executable and assume all default values so were going to tell this to go and run.

It goes and fires itself off and as soon as it does its going to tell me hey, the capture is now finished and, as we can see as soon as ive done, that ive got this little shortcut on my desktop. I still have all these things. Inside of the start, menu, but im, not a huge fan of the windows, start menus. It kind of slows me down having to constantly click on it for all my apps and, as you can see, theres a number of applications here, a lot of which represent significant challenges for delivery. They might have device drivers or complex or dcom objects or system services. They might have context associations and were going to just run through these real quick, and i want you to pay attention to the performance so im going to fire off some 7 zip, which has some context, association and im going to do some filezilla, which has just Endless updates and were going to make that really easy im going to do some gum player for some high output. Directx 12 audio visual stuff were going to do some image burn, which requires again uh device driver access and were gon na see that it has the ability to not only access my system, but also a virtual dvd burner that ive allocated to it were gon na Fire up some tera copies, so it replaces the windows copy handler were gon na, do a blast from the past with old winamp and were going to go.

Tell winner then. Yes, i do want you to run properly and were going to do things like some win. Scp well do some winrar, and just so. We have some fun with this. Well also do some vlc skinned in on skin and were also going to launch some good old google earth pro, which, because im in a virtual machine, its going to complain about directx access and all that cool stuff, so were going to tell it. Yes, i want to relaunch in directx and were going to go, see google google earth pro fire itself up and now i can do essentially whatever i want, but just to have some fun here, im actually going to start up a flight simulator and were going to Launch an f 16 on the runway of new york, so we did all of these things instantly just by pulling over these executables, using whatever development methodology that you want. But im not done yet because, in addition to all those applications that i have, i also have a second copy of flexstaffed applications. Thats, even bigger so were going to launch that and instantly ive got a shortcut and series of shortcuts present on my desktop again again, these are also in the start menu. But again you know how i feel about that and i can see that i have a whole slew of other applications that ive added to the mix. Ive added google chrome. So we can go and eat up all my memory and im going to point it to liquidware.

com and were going to have it load up its html5 videos, and you can see it. Does that lightning fast and were also going to do a larger application were going to do some open office stuff? Obviously, we support microsoft office as well. Most of our clients still have that baked into their systems, but if you want us to manage it, thats fine too, and were also gon na fire off some open office, couch just to give me a little spreadsheet action and were gon na fire off. Some of my favorite tools from system turtles so were going to do some access. Enumerator were going to do some ad explorer and then were going to go to do some process explore just so. You can see whats going on behind the scenes with these systems and were really just going to load this thing up and, as you can see, i fired off a good 15 20 applications there and my performance is outstanding. I have full control of how my system gets its applications delivered to it and it doesnt matter what it is desktop laptop vdi cloud based solution. If it has lots of bandwidth – and it has no bandwidth and it goes offline for a while flexapp one loves those kind of situations, and we can obviously cater to all of the needs that you need matt thanks for that wonderful demonstration, i think our audience would Agree that flex app one is very innovative and you wont find anything like it in the industry today for more information, you can contact us at sales liquidware.
